1. Introduction

1.1 The Spot Money Save to Win Competition (“Promotion”) is organised and managed by Spot Money SA (Proprietary) Limited (“Spot”), including affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the “Organisers”).
1.2 The Promotion is open for entry by all South African residents of 18 years and older with a valid South African identity document or Smart Card.
1.3 By entering the Promotion, all participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Organisers, and the Organisers’ decision regarding any issue will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
1.4 This Promotion will run from 1 January 2024 – 31 December 2024 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”).
1.5 The Promotion deals exclusively with incentivising Spot Money subscribers to save by awarding monthly prizes based on compliance with specific saving criteria. Additional Campaign Terms and Conditions may be found here.

2. Claiming the Promotion

2.1 To successfully register for the Promotion and benefit from the Promotion, participants must:
2.1.1 Choose a random box each week (ranging from R55 to R200) found on the Spot Savings Tracker and add that amount to their Spot Savings account.
2.1.2 Maintain a minimum balance of R200 in their Spot Savings account for the remainder of the calendar month to receive 1 entry into the draw; OR
2.1.3 Add a minimum of R200 into their Spot Savings account every month and keep the money in the account for the remainder of the calendar month to receive 1 entry into the draw.
2.2 The Promotion is only available to individuals who meet the criteria outlined in clause 2.1 during the Promotion Period.
2.3 The Organisers will conduct a verification exercise to authenticate whether the Promotion participants have complied with the criteria outlined in clause 2.1. Once successfully verified, participants will automatically be entered into the draw to win the Promotion prize.
2.4 All personal information of Promotion participants will be strictly made use of in line with the Promotion and stored securely. For further information, please refer to the Organisers’ Privacy Statement at Spot Money Privacy Policy.

3. The Promotion Gift

3.1 At the end of each calendar month, one winner will be selected to double their savings (up to a maximum value of R1,500). The prize money will be deposited directly into the winner’s Primary account (which they may transfer into their Savings account if they wish).

4. General Terms and Conditions

4.1 The Promotion is valid for the Promotion Period only.
4.2 This Promotion is advertised on the Promotions website. For more details, refer to Spot Money’s website.
4.3 The Promotion Period may be extended or reduced at the discretion of the Organisers.
4.4 The Promotion, the Promotion Gift, and any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organisers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered.
4.5 The Organisers reserve the right to extend, shorten, or suspend the Promotion for technical, commercial, operational reasons, or due to force majeure, and will notify participants accordingly.
4.6 The Organisers reserve the right to terminate the Promotion at any stage for reasons including legislative changes or operational decisions. Notice of termination will be published on the Organisers’ website. Participants waive any claims arising from such termination.
4.7 In the event of a dispute, the Organisers’ decision will be final, binding, and not subject to correspondence.
4.8 All participants indemnify the Organisers, their affiliates, and their employees against any claims arising from participation in the Promotion.
4.9 By participating in this Promotion, participants agree to these terms and conditions without exception.
4.10 Violation of these rules will result in immediate disqualification from the Promotion.
4.11 South African law shall govern these rules, and the courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
